Holiday Break

Hi everyone, just to let you know, I am now on holiday for a week. Here’s a prayer for holiday-makers:

God of Trinity, who rested after a period of creativity.

May the wind remind me
that your Spirit is always near.
May the sea sing
of your endless faithfulness.

May the hills lift my eyes
to the One who made them.
May the trees preach patience,
the birds teach joy, and the stars awaken awe.

Slow my hurried thoughts.
Quiet the voices
that tell me I must always achieve,
always produce, always prove myself.

As the Celtic saints found your presence
on lonely shores, in hidden glens,
and on wave-washed islands,
may I discover that every place can become holy ground.

Refresh my body.
Renew my mind.
Restore my soul.

For God’s glory
